I’m looking into really cool “GOOD” brands like Nau, Good Magazine, etc. Any brands come to mind? Please leave a comment below. Would be highly appreciated!

  • Eric Reynolds
King Arthur Flour, Timberland, 7th Generation, New Belgium Brewery, Stoneyfield Farm, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Cliff Bar, Organic Valley, Summer Rayne Oakes, Linda Loudermilk, Edun, Loonstate, Keen, Simple, Terra Plana, Reware, Begley's Best, Method, Saintsbury Wines, Yolo Paints, IceStone, Salesforce.com, New Leaf Paper, Chelsea Green Publishing, Consolidated Printing, Calvert Group, New Resources Bank, and the list goes on. There are a lot of companies making a real effort to "do no harm" as they conduct their business. None is perfect; but increasingly more are trying and making progress.
  • Thanks everyone! Will write these down ..
  • Forgot to add Tide - http://adage.com/article?article_id=121885 - this brand is taking major steps at being Good!
  • Ben & Jerry's, Patagonia, and Tom's of Maine are pretty classic examples. Newman's Own - just came out with wine. We Are What We Do. Burt's Bees - even though they've been bought. Don't know if I can afford not to shout out Target (their 5% ads are pretty solid).
  • I wish I could have joined you in NOLA for the conference. Sounds like I missed an amazing event.

As to your question, NEED magazine is awesome. Also, check out http://www.makemyownmonster.com/ with a portion of proceeds donated to a children's charity.

    hope that helps.
